Bereavement Counselling

The grief experienced by parents when their baby or child dies cannot be adequately described. No loss is as significant as the loss of a child. The magnitude of untimely and early death will change the lives of parents and families forever.
— Jenni Thomas OBE

Parents can request support from Rosie’s Rainbow fund after the death of a child at any age, from any cause, expected or unexpected. The service is fully funded by Rosies Rainbow Fund.

The goal of bereavement care is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to express their grief, navigate the complex emotions associated with loss, and find ways to adjust to life without their loved one.

Bereavement support offers:

  • Coping Mechanisms. ...

  • Increased Self-Awareness. ...

  • Help with Accepting Reality. ...

  • A reduction in Isolation. ...

  • A Restored Sense of Control. ...

  • Help with Life Transitions.

Rosie’s Rainbow Fund’s bereavement service is offered by Céline Pearson.

If you, or someone you know, would like to be considered for bereavement support, please contact us via our charity email rosiesrainbowfund2014@gmail.com so we can refer to Celine or please contact Céline directly at celineptherapy@gmail.com. With exception of leave, the aim is to respond to all enquiries within 5 working days.

All parents will be offered an initial consultation via Zoom or telephone if preferred.

“It was immensely powerful for me to be in such a safe environment where I felt I could talk about Gemma, something I rarely get to do these days, and know that the other people in the room would understand where I was coming from and not think I was either mad or dwelling on things, or tell me I needed to ‘forget and move on’.

Nobody else ever asks me about Gemma anymore so just being given the opportunity to share her and her story was very precious to me. I think the workshop is a great idea and I hope you do more because I would love to come again.”
