Today we would like to remember a very special little girl, and to offer heartfelt thanks. We were privileged to know and spend time with our sweet friend Imogen (Immy) Whitby, to revel in her bright smile and cheeky spirit, and to watch her enjoy time with Amanda and Andy--and of course, her favourite bunnies! Immy fought such a brave battle, but sadly she gained her angel wings in January of this year. We would like to share Immy's beautiful smile and loving spirit with our supporters, and ask you to join us in honouring Immy's courage, light, and loving nature. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Immy's mum and dad, Kathryn and Lester Whitby. Having experienced Amanda's therapeutic aromatherapy massage and pastoral care during Immy's time at the John Radcliffe Children's Hospital, the Whitbys decided to make a very generous donation to permit us to purchase aromatherapy oils so that we might continue to offer parents of long-stay children a period of respite and restoration with Amanda. We cannot thank Mr and Mrs Whitby enough for their kindness and generosity in wanting to provide supports for other parents going through experiences similar to their own. We know that with every parent who benefits from these services, Immy's spirit will be living on and helping us to spread love, care, and rainbows. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the Whitby family not just for their generosity, but for allowing us to share our memories and love for Immy with our supporters. Your beautiful little girl will always be in our hearts. With love and gratitude from the entire Rosie's Rainbow Fund team. xx
