Fight for George to Run the London Marathon!
On Sunday, two very special ladies will be taking on the final part of an incredible challenge they have set for themselves--Louise Ferriman (founder of the charity Fight for George) and Stephanie James will be running in the London Marathon as the 5th and final marathon they have run in less than a month, all in honour of Louise's 4-year-old son George's battle with cancer. Lou and Steph are SO close to their goal of £10,000 (with Rosie's Rainbow Fund being one of the recipients of the funds!), so PLEASE donate here and show these incredible women that we're cheering them on! You can make your donation here. Louise says:
"Sunday will be emotional, tough on very worn out muscles, exciting, a celebration of George's fight and win and my way to give back....to charities that are unsung, to a community that got behind us, to friends that have and are still suffering. It's a little bit for me, my way of coping with our journey and using George's fight to make a difference!
Steph and I will both be running our 5th marathon on Sunday as a final push to hit launch target of £10,000 and really make a difference to charities . Keep swabbing, keep giving blood and cheer us on from lounge and London!!! How great if you can't donate or run, if you could go online and book a blood donation appointment or post a bone marrow swab. Everyone can make a difference.
My race number is 40668 and look out for the bear on my vest and Global's Make Some Noise!
Together we can beat cancer and make the lives of families affected by it that bit more easy!!" *Photos property of Fight for George.
