Rosie's Rainbow Fund Partners with Fight for George
We have exciting news to share this morning! Many of our supporters know about our very special friends at Fight for George - a little boy's battle against cancer, but for those who do not, last year at the age of 3, George Ferriman of Cookham was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer called Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Rosie's Rainbow Fund supported George and his family during his time at the John Radcliffe Children's Hospital through music therapy, paediatric massage therapy, and parent carer supports, and we have been honoured to know this incredible family and are inspired by their bravery, honesty, and fighting spirit.
The Ferriman family created Fight for George to raise awareness of blood cancers like George's and the importance of blood and bone marrow donation, as well as to support charities such as ours which supported George and their family during George's illness. Now, we are over the moon that George's cancer is currently in remission, and we are thrilled to share with you that Fight for George has now become an official charity--and as such, we are incredibly proud to partner with Fight for George and are truly humbled by their decision to formally support Rosie's Rainbow Fund through fundraising and awareness-building as part of their charitable activities. This support will go such a long way in enabling us to continue providing the vital services to seriously ill and special needs children and their families which we offer free of charge. We wish everyone at Fight for George the very best of luck in this new chapter--we are proud to walk by your side as you embark on this journey! Congratulations, much love, and of course, many rainbows sent your way, from all of us at Rosie's Rainbow Fund!
