Did you catch us on BBC South Today? If you didn't, you won't want to miss this wonderful glimpse behind the scenes of Rosie's Rainbow Fund, courtesy of Allen Sinclair and BBC Children in Need! Allen and the BBC Children in Need team--along with special guest Pudsey!--recently paid a visit to the John Radcliffe Children's Hospital to see our music therapy work in person and share it with the community (hearing our friend Alex play a fab rendition of "Für Elise" on the keyboard is reason alone to watch!). BBC Children in Need has provided our charity with a generous grant totalling over £12,000 which enables us to continue to offer our music therapy sessions to children like Alex, Allan, and Danny.
Huge thanks to BBC Children in Need, Allen Sinclair, Pam Bacon, and the wonderful film crew for their generosity, kindness, and sensitivity, and tremendous thanks also to Alex, Rob and Allan, and Danny and Maxine for kindly allowing us to be a part of their music therapy sessions and for being willing to share their stories--Alex, Rob, and Maxine, you all spoke so eloquently and beautifully, and we are so grateful. And most of all, a special thank you to our wonderful team who work so perfectly in partnership, Andy Stevens and Amanda Tibbels! Andy did a wonderful job sharing the vital work that we do and showing us all why what he does is so important, and we couldn't have arranged this special day without the hard work of Amanda, who not only helped coordinate every step, but also acted as a special escort to Pudsey himself! Of course, we also must thank Pudsey for taking the time to visit and spend the day with us, and as always, to the wonderful staff at the John Radcliffe Children's Hospital for permitting us to film. Thank you, one and all!
