Trustee Shirley Completes The Brighton Marathon!

Congratulations and many thanks to Shirley Jones, our Trustee and Rosie’s intensive care nurse, for completing her first marathon in our honour! With a huge fundraising total, and a time to be proud of, it’s no wonder Shirley is smiling!

Activities for 2013, our 10th year of operation

This year 2013 is the 10th year of the Fund. We want to step up the fundraising to enable us to purchase an adapted holiday home for families in need. We have a number of events planned so watch this space for updates throughout the year.

Theatre Performance with West End Stars, Wycombe Swan, Sunday 12 May 2013

This is our bi-annual fundraiser – tickets now available direct from the Wycombe Swan.

Ben Nevis Trek, 21 – 23 June 2013

We are doing a bespoke climb of Ben Nevis just for Rosie’s Rainbow Fund with hotel accommodation and a celebration meal on the Saturday night. So far we have 19 people signed up!

This is an escorted climb, with qualified leaders, organised by Global Adventure Challenges. The climb is considered suitable for all levels of fitness. It is just four hours up, and three hours down and is completed in one day. It’s a beautiful part of the world – please consider joining us!

Crowne Plaza Ball 30 November 2013

Rosie’s Rainbow Fund’s 10th anniversary ball is on Saturday 30 November 2013 at the wonderful Crowne Plaza in Marlow. It sounds a long way off but it will come along very quickly! Please think about making it your Christmas night out for work or arrange a friends/family get together – and get it in the diary now!

Tickets are £50 each/£500 for a table of 10. There will be a 3 course sit-down meal, disco etc. You can send cheques into the office or email us for more info. Reasonable overnight hotel rates available too.

We hope that you will try and join us for this very special occasion.

Lucy Phillips Raises over £500 in Birthday Skydive!

Many thanks to Lucy Phillips who raised over £500 for her charity skydive on her 21st birthday. Lucy was Rosie’s school friend and wanted to do something special in her memory:

“I really wanted to raise some money for Rosie’s Rainbow so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.”

After the skydive, a wonderful rainbow followed Lucy all the way home…

Nick Cherry Completes his 19th Marathon for Rosie’s Rainbow

Congratulations to Nick Cherry who completed the Brighton Marathon for us on Sunday 15 April. This was Nick’s 19th marathon – a fantastic achievement. Nick also took part in a Strictly Come Dancing Event for us in Bicester on 21 April, raising even more funds for our work in hospital and in the community. We are extremely grateful for this extraordinary effort.

1950s Swing Night – a Roaring Success

We were delighted at the turnout, despite the heavy snow, for the swing night with The Ding Dong Daddios in Maidenhead in February. We raised over £1000 for the Fund. Many thanks to our helpers on the night, especially the NatWest Team from the Maidenhead Branch who came to assist.
